It is possible for NVDA to be changed to recognize these RSS feeds as documents. But, they are not all that useful when doing so. All you can see is plain text, rather not well formatted. Its most certainly not formatted anything like in Firefox. Therefore I'm not too sure whether its worth offering this at all. I'd like to know how its presented to sighted users?
The change is not at all hard to make if someone still can provide a good use case.

In Internet Explorer9 it appears NVDA is not able to read rss pages. For Example, try this:
