NVDA no longer announces the numbers of itens when using l to jumping to a list.
It has been tested using firefox, internet explorer and Google Chrome.
When arrowing to a list, NVDA correctly announces.

This broke with main,4786. due to #1886: NVDA says list with ... items unnecessarily
I think that the overview, which was provided by saying "list of x items" is very important and should be brought back.

Actually, we're considering removing "list with x items" altogether. We don't say it anywhere else in Windows, so I don't see why web pages should be an exception. That said, it's an inconsistent regression, so I'll fix it. :)

Milestone changed from None to 2012.1

Actually, the issue really is more that nothing is announced for a list when jumping in to one with focus or quicknav. This is the same for frames and blockquotes as well. However, when jumping out an appropriate message is reported. Specifically the issue is with speech.getControlFieldspeech and its handling with speakContentFirst. All container entering announcements are disabled if this occurs.
