Hi, On the Main NVDA Snapshot Page you have the following information stated: Some warnings to users:
•If using the portable version, it is suggested that you do not just copy a newer snapshot over an older snapshot or official/preview release, but instead either delete or rename the older one first. The content of NVDA's directory can change dramatically whilst in development, and old files may cause it to not run as well, or in many cases not run at all. If there is an issue with the operating system not allowing you to delete a particular dll, then perhaps just rename the directory, or copy the newer NVDA in to a newer location, and then remove the older one after a reboot.
•If using the installer version, it is suggested that you uninstall all older versions before installing a newer one. Like the portable version, NVDA's directory can change dramatically, and old files may cause NVDA to not run. If NVDA still has issues after uninstalling and installing, try uninstalling, rebooting if necessary, manually removing the NVDA directory in program files (or where ever you installed it) and then installing the newer snapshot again. There is no sepret portable version any more and there is no sepret installer version any more ither. And also NVDA now always gets installed into Program Files. Please update this information to show these changes! Thank you for all of your nice work!

I've just removed these warnings, as they aren't that relevant now anyway.
