Ignoring the vocaliser part and the fact that you are using IE9, I've seen the other error quite often on very sluggish sites or ones that tend to hang a bit on slow machines. I don't think its destructive and seems to be due to things changing in the middle of nvda trying to get the info it needs.
I'd put it down to my old clunkers!
Be interested to know if its something else.

An update on this ticket. This happend to me on another site so it's not just Facebook.

I have seen this error as well in IE8 on XP, but the snag is that its often not repeatable and usually seems to have no effect other than the beep and the error sound. Thus in a normal version one is unaware of it.
I guess its a bit like something changes after the screenreader has started to do something.
If it is a repeatable issue, then what web site is it?

Hi,

It repeataly happends on Facebook- Mobile and the actual Facebook webpage. When aroing through your Facebook Timeline. The errar sound happends and NVDA goes really slow before the errar sound happends. It can also happen when you try and lode the links on a webpage. I have seen lots of pages wair this errar happends!

Well I don't use Farcebook myself which is why I was interested when you said it happened elsewhere and wondered if you had an address. One assumes then that its OK in firefox? I'd rather like to see a repeatable outside Farcebook example here, so I could tell if it was just a windows 7 thing or whether the intermittent times I've seen it in xp were on the same pages as you get it. I've not seen lots of reports of this happening consistently.

This error generally means the document died as you were reading it. This should only really happen if the page is reloading or the like.

Hello,
OK, Hmmm, www.facebook.com does refresh a lot. But I have seen this errar come up when I've been browsing the NVDA and m.facebook.com website, wich doesn't refresh as much as www.facebook.com,And they don't seem like they are refreshing. But of corss I could be wrong about that.

In my experience, I have found that modifications in the DOM also make this happen. Facebook does lots of that when you navigate through posts; creating and removing "Delete" buttons as you move through the page. That is also causing NVDA to say a lot of "out of list out of list list with items".

Okay. This is getting way too confusing. Let's narrow the scope a little here.

First, for this case, let's forget about the error sound. Pretend it doesn't exist.

Given this, please specify the problem that's actually occurring. If it's just the error sound, that's not important. What I want to know is how this actually affects you. That's the problem we really need to solve here.

Btw, the null context handle error that was recently fixed occurred for a different reason. It applies to all versions of IE, but I don't think it's relevant to this ticket.

Hello,

Very sorry if I didn't make myself understood, what happends is when you go onto www.facebook.com, and you try and move through the page by headings (H), NVDA will try and read out the information, but every cuppal of seconds, the page refreshes, and NVDA will read the content slower and slower, until NVDA gives me those errors, or IE 9 crashes out, (See second Error comment seventeen), and then you can lose all voice from NVDA? Thanks very much!

This is still happening only on the www.facebook.com website. The other issues on the Mobile website don't seam to be happening anymore.
