Configuration: Windows 8 X64, with default Internet Explorer 10, all Windows updates applied, NVDA snapshot 5577 (also tested using NVDA 2012.2 and NVDA 2012.3 beta 1), NVIDIA Geforce 9400 GPU.
In internet explorer, NVDA misplaces the mouse cursor / objects so when moving the mouse cursor NVDA reads text which is usually well below the actual position of the mouse cursor. This renders mouse tracking practically useless.
Example: on the NVDA home page, when I move the mouse cursor to the navigation bar, NVDA reads the first heading ("welcome to the home of NVDA"). When I move the mouse to that heading, NVDA starts reading the first paragraph. Similar issues occur on most web pages.
I found related ticket #2660, I can confirm the symptoms described there in my configuration.
I have no mouse tracking issues in Firefox or other applications.

Is this the Immersive IE 10 (launched from the start screen), or the desktop IE 10 (launched from perhaps the run dialog or other URL link)?

Closing as a duplicate of #3494, as there has been no further info from the reporter and it's very probably related to the DPI scaling issues addressed there.
Changes:
Added labels: duplicate
State: closed
