I've noticed this, for example when using Imap with text disply on in Live mail, Outlook express and Tbird. You tend to get blank and sayall will not say the text unless you cancel the message display and display it a second time. It can also be seen when you use a news server. it seems that either nvda does not see the late displaying or no event is sent to it for this condition.

Sometimes you hear blank other times just nothing and even a sayall will fail.
The message is there according to a sighted person most times though.
This is a more recent issue on tbird but has been around for a while on the Microsoft readers.

Just to say that the Outlook Express issue is still present in 2014.3. Messages often need to be opened then closed and reopened to allow one to read the displayed text.
