Have you tried this with the braille display off or disconnected? |

OK reproducing the problem with a snap of 20th Februar (don't know the exact version) doesn't solve it. The behaviour is the same. I'll attach the new log file with the current snap.

Comment 7 by heikofolkerts on 2014-04-23 11:34 The freeze occures when NVDA makes a COM callout to the system and that is not returning. I have neither clue how to debug that nor how to work arround this. I'll try to attach a demo application for the bug with minimal controls envolved. |

Comment 10 by heikofolkerts on 2014-05-14 04:49 After uninstalling "advanced security for outlook" NVDA no longer gets frozen when outlook has the focus. So the ticket should be closed but remain visible to inform other users that may face the same problem. |

I am using Windows 7 64 Bit with NVDA 2012.3.1 and Outlook 2010 with an exchange mailbox.
When Outlook becomes the focussed application the PC reacts very slowly. It is practically impossible to type a message etc.
Using Outlook 2010 under Windows XP (32 bit) has no such effect.
Turning off NVDA and using JAWS with outlook results in quick reaction of outlook, so outlook itself doesn't seem to produce the slugishness.
I'll attach a log file from NVDA with logging set to debug. Itr seems that there occure errors as far as I can interpreet the information.
In that logging touching Outlook is done by focussing to a opened calendar entry called "geburtstag ..."
The bug prevents me from using NVDA together with Outlook.
When another application gets the focus the System is running fine and fast again.
Watching the task manager when entering Outlook didn't show any raising of processor load etc. So I suspect that something gets wrong and NVDA has to get back on feet.
