I really wonder why you're using NVDA 2011.2 when 2013.2 is out? You are using a version which is 2 years old. Have you tested this issue with the newest version? I'm afraid the developers won't give any support on 2011.2 other than an advice to update.

Do you have an example website where this problem occurs?

Correcting version, since 2013.2 wasn't previously an option. See #3499.

@xoxa2004 can you still reproduce it in NVDA 2018.3.2 or 2018.4 RC1?
Testing with NVDA 2018.4 RC1 in Firefox 63.ß.3, I cannot reproduce this issue.

It occurs on image links. STR:

  1. Open this test case: data:text/html,<a href="https://nvaccess.org">Text</a><a href="https://nvaccess.org"><img src="https://via.placeholder.com/10" alt="Image"></a>
  2. Route the mouse to the "Text" link.
    • Observe: Only "Text" is spoken.
  3. Route the mouse to the "Image" link.
    • Expected: Just "Image" is spoken.
    • Actual: "Image" and the URL of the link is spoken.

This occurs because the mouse routes to the image, not the link (since the image is the deepest node). The image has the URL as its value, but NVDA doesn't filter that out like it does for links.
