In outlook 2010, I hear dataitem after each item in the list of messages. Would it be possible to suppress the dataitem roll in this case as it is not needed in the list of messages.

This should not be happening.

Could you please provide an NVDA log file showing this problem?

  • NVDA menu -> Preferences -> General Settings: set log level to input/output.
  • Then in Outlook, move through the messages in the inbox, ensuring that you are hearing the incorrect reporting of data item.
  • Open the log viewer with NVDA+f1, and save the log and either attach it to this ticket or email it directly to me: mick@nvaccess.org.

Also:

  • Are you seeing this with an installed copy of NVDA or a portable copy?

OK I'm attaching the log. When I arrow down through the list of messages, I hear dataitem.
