When using the select all text shortcut control+e for Spanish version of MS applications NVDA just announces the current text alignment. And when using control+a NVDA says all selected, but nothing is selected and the open dialog of the application is activated.
Using Office 2013 PRO Spanish.

This will need to be fixed in the Spanish translation of NVDA.

Note for translator: You'll need to override the gesture bindings in a locale specific gestures.ini file.

I provided a gestures.ini and forgot some gestures. Now I have added:

  • control+q, used for alignment.
  • Removed "control+shift+," and control+shift+n, not used in Spanish, and control+a in Word documents, used to open files, to prevent the announcement of all selected.
  • Added control+e in editabletext.EditableText.

Looks fine to me, except for one question:

I notice you bind control+e to caret_changeSelection in EditableText, but you don't unbind control+a. Is this because some apps still use control+a for select all?

This probably needs to be submitted via the translations repository (srt).

Yes, for instance Notepad++.

OK, spanish translator probably will commit changes soon, or I will do if he can't, to fix this as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Yes. It landed in NVDA in 22326a1 (2014.4).
