This should not block the next release, but we'll take a fix if someone offers it.

Since this stays unfixed i believe we can't do anything on our side (besides display hooks which is a different story)

Try it with a current snapshot and see. If it works already, great. If not, it probably won't.

It works, NVDA reads the lines in the code editor. But sometimes, NVDA doesn't announce any characters (e.g the first or the last one in a line).

@oaron: Is this issue still relevant for you?

This is a very old ticket, and unfortunately we haven't been able to contact the original author. Closing for now.
