I'am tested notepad, NVDA doesn't say the selected letters words or lines.

Probably a duplicate of #4535. However, getting this to work depends on NVDA being able to detect the colour of the text correctly. Does NVDA report a different colour for selected text in these controls?

@adkurz: Assuming you are the initial author of this issue, could you provide a status update?

The problem isn't solved yet. Selected text is not anounced. Furthermore, NVDA shows spaces on the begin of each line, but there aren't real spaces, the indent tones are useless in such edit fields. The Say all feature also doesn't work well.
