A fix for issues in Skype 7.2 will be in the 13 April next snapshot, which should be available in a few hours. However, I'm not entirely certain that will fix this particular issue after all. Can you please have the reporting user test this with this build? There's no need to install it; it can be tested without installation.

today I did some testing but I got only the following log but NVDA was able to read everything.

That error is still concerning. It means typing indications won't work.

Can you please do the following?

1. NVDa menu -> Preferences -> Review cursor and turn off Simple review mode. (You'll want to re-enable this once you're done testing.)
2. In Skype, open a conversation and focus the field where you type a message; i.e. the field which is labelled "Type a message here" in English.
3. With the desktop layout, do the following: NVDA+numpad8 twice, NVDA+numpad4 twice, NVDA+numpad2. With the laptop layout, this would be: NVDA+shift+upArrow twice, NVDA+shift+leftArrow twice, NVDA+shift+downArrow.
4. Now press NVDA+f1. The Log Viewer should appear.
5. Select to end (shift+control+end), copy and then paste into your reply.

Hmm. Everything seems to be correct there.

I just changed my Skype language to German and still can't reproduce this.

Do you know if you've changed any Skype settings that might affect typing indication, etc.?

This clearly isn't fixed by #4972, even though it is improved by it. Reopening.

@bdorer, @k-kolev1985, @jcsteh can you reproduce this in last skype version?

@k-kolev1985 I am trying to reproduce this issue but cannot. If this is not an issue in Skype 8, I would suggest to close it because the interface changed significantly.

Closing this, since Skype has been entirely rewritten.
