How do we learn when does it finish checking and how many new messages we have?
Is there any status line like in Outlook Express or something els?
It says "No status bar found" when pressing the related command!...

I'm not really sure.
Please open separate detailed tickets for any specific feature requests / bugs.

Take a look at Windows live mail a little, and you will see the bugs I'M talking about.

The point is that this ticket is not specific enough. You're asking questions, not stating bugs. Please open separate tickets for any issues you are encountering and provide exact steps to reproduce, as well as what you expected and what you got instead. You will need to have someone sighted confirm whether there is a status bar; we can't do this. If there is and it doesn't work, then you could file a ticket noting that it didn't work and what should have been reported. You can reopen and morph this ticket into a single bug report if you wish.

Well, it doesn't read the status bar, while Jaws does. It looks like Outlook express.

Right. So we're talking specifically about the status bar. Please be more specific/precise in future.

I cannot find a statusbar in Windows Live Mail 2011 with object navigation (simple review turned off) or by moving the mouse. However, perhaps this should be verified by a sighted person. But even if there is one, it does seem as though it is inaccessible. Not sure yet about Windows Live 2009.
Probably not something we can right now fix for 2011.1 so moving to near term.

Live mail seems to be deprecated now and Thunderbird is probably a better alternative, so how about closing this?

We don't want to "drop" support for anything unnecessarily, no, but there's also no point in us working on additional support for something which is now obsolete. Closing.
