in order to make braille object navigation more comfortable, I siggest to assign the braille display keys as follows (at leas when the braille display is following the navigator):

  • the next/previous line keys should be associated to the "first child" and "parent object" functions.
  • the backwards/forward keys should be associated to the next/previous object functions.
  • the routing keys should be associated to a combination ob "route mouse to navigator" and "left mouse click" functions to activate a specific object by pressing a routing key.

This ticket can be closed as "fixed" because of two reasons:

  1. object navigation commands are assigned to shortcur keys for some braille displays
  2. by using the gestures dialog, you can configure your braille display's keys to use object navigation.
