I've noticed this on several machines, apart from my main PC.
It would seem that their are several inconsistancies when the audio co-ordinates option is checked, and when the mouse is moved. On some machines beeps have been constant when moving the mouse on the screen, but on my netbook and my PC there are a couple of seconds delay when moving the mouse, and when the beeps are heard. Speech seems to be ok, from what I can tell only the audio is effected. Additionally, again as far as I can tell this isn't due to processer or RAM limitations; this PC has 3 GB of RAM and a 2.7 GHZ processer, and this behaviour can still be seen. I've noticed this from version 2010.1, so it's not due to some new code changes. And finally, this doesn't seem to be OS-spasific; that's to say that I've tried it on XP, 7 and Vista, some machines have this delay, others do not.

If you have detect brightness checked in mouse settings this may cause a delay on some Operating Systems (namely Vista and 7 if Ero is enabled). We could probably fix that by doing better screen capturing, either that or removing the brightness feature all together. However, if this is not the case, then I guess it may simply be something to do with processor speed.
