Using Firefox 3.6.10 with NVDA 2002.2-beta2

  1. Log into Facebook
  2. Use up and down arrows to read the page.
  3. You'll hear NVDA say "System Menu"

Result this should not happen, was fine using NVDA 2010.1 and Firefox 3.6.9.

I can't reproduce this on my system.
What URL do you use exactly for facebook -- which version of facebook?
www.facebook.com/
m.facebook.com/
What addons do you have installed for Firefox, if any?
What facebook apps have you signed up to, if any?

Could you please try with Firefox in safe mode? Mozilla Firefox (safe mode) in the start menu if you have an installed version of Firefox.
This should hopefully run Firefox with no addons.
I know that Web Visum can cause some issues on websites.

You're certain that it's just up and down arrows that produce the problem and not enter? Are you sure you're not bumping your mouse (which is particularly relevant if you're on a notebook computer)?

If you can, please restart NVDA, set your log level to input/output, reproduce the problem and then attach a log file. Note that this will contain information about what was spoken, so if there is private content, you should look through the file and remove or obfuscate it.

I am not able to replicate this, and it is hard to say what the issue is, as there was no log provided.

Facebook has changed multiple times over the years, so has Firefox, and I've never been able to reproduce this. Closing.
