In some random cases, in Word 2010, when I press the Alt key to show a ribbon bar, simply nothing happens, because I am still focused on a document window. Not sure if this is an Office or NVDA issue, but temporary fix to this problem for me was restarting NVDA. I'm also not sure if a ribbon bar is shown on screen but it's just not focused when pressing the Alt key, or it doesn't show at all.

Hi,
Mick tried to fix it with issues introduced as a result. Also, I'm curious as to if this ticket is blocked by a recent ticket? Thanks.

Oops. This ticket was missed when #4207 was filed. Closing as a duplicate of that one, as the newer ticket contains more activity.
