Currently, nvda does not speak items on the menu bar in vmware player. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open vmware player.
  2. Press alt. Expected results: nvda should indicate that you are on a menu bar and read items like in other applications. Actual results: nvda says nothing, and doesn't indicate that you are on a menu bar. Arrowing left and right produces no feedback. Of course one could memorize the shortcuts for menus, but this still should read.

From memory, this menu bar doesn't fire any accessible events at all. Unfortunately, this means that fixing this is probably not going to be possible.

Current versions of Player allow accessing a menu using object navigation when a machine is loaded.
